Maloula is a unique historical and tourist town. It attacks the visitors attention from all over the world, for the Wide reputation of its historical shrines, the rocky nature, old houses gathered in the Heart of the mountain.

 Maloula was inhabited by the Cro-Magnon Man, about 30,000 years ago, who left evidences in the caves. The human existence did not stop through the different ages. It was joined and influenced by other cultures that passed aver the area including Akkadians, Amorites, Arameans, Greeks, Romans and Arab civilization.
